Inspired by the poems of Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935), the greatest modernist poet of Portugal, I started to explore the City discovering fascinating urban fragments, so I tried to capture in images the emotion of discovery. In my opinion, Pessoa was the writer who best expressed the concept of Saudade because I found in his poems a melancholy specific to the Portuguese people. That melancholy determined me to place urban exploration in a poetic frame. Exploring the world around me, I let my imagination complete the frames with urban details. Experiencing that dreaming state, I cross the thin line between the real and the imaginary world.
