Urban Insights
Exhibition
The exhibition brings together three different perspectives on the City approaching artistic research from a multi-directional perspective.
Urban Insights puts forward methodologies and working tools as well as different views on the City, revealing a multifaceted understanding of the urban environment and also taking a step towards collaborative thinking in terms of the creative approach.
The exhibition opened between the 20th and 31st of August 2021, and was organized by me at the Gallery 15 DESIGN – Hanul cu Tei in Bucharest, in which I invited two artists to exhibit their artistic research projects together with me. Thus, the Urban Insights exhibition brought together three artistic research projects carried out within the Doctoral School of the National University of Arts in Bucharest. For this exhibition, I received the support of the Doctoral School and also the Union of Fine Artists in Romania - Bucharest Design Branch, where I am affiliated.

Although with different research methods and locations, the projects bring together three perspectives on the City, approaching artistic research from a multi-directional perspective. The three perspectives cross each other in a joint project by exhibiting individual experiments carried out in the urban environment. The projects highlight the importance of perception and address concepts such as displacement, discovery and play.
My project The Poetry of the Cityscape focuses on the drift concept (fr. dérive) and poetic exploration of the urban environment. In the exhibition, I presented artworks that are part of the projects Palimpsest of Cityscape and The Mysteries of the Ruins. My guest's projects were also related to the urban environment.
